Duties of Elected Officers

 

Section 1- Duties of President.

​

The President shall preside at all meetings of the chapter members and of the Executive Board. The President shall appoint all committee chair people. The President shall have power to decide all questions of equal division and have all power and duties usually vested in the President of an organization.

 

Section 2- Duties of Vice-President.

​

The Vice-President shall serve in the absence of the President.

 

Section 3- Duties of Secretary.

​

The Secretary shall handle all official correspondence of the chapter and shall keep minutes of all meetings of the members and executive board. 


Upon request, the Secretary shall attend meetings of the committees.


The Secretary shall keep an up-to-date roll of all chapter members in good standing.


The Secretary, in conjunction with the Newsletter Editor, shall give all notices of meetings of the members and Executive Board, and shall perform all duties incident to the office. In the absence of the Secretary from any meetings of the members or Executive Board a Secretary-pro-tempore shall be chosen by the presiding officer.

 

Section 4- Duties of Treasurer.

The Treasurer shall collect and disburse the funds of the chapter as may be ordered by the Executive Board. The Treasurer shall render a financial report at the last meeting of each calendar year and whenever the President or Executive Board requires the same. The Treasurer shall give bond at the expense of the chapter if required to do so by the Executive Board. The Treasurer shall collect all dues payable by chapter members and give each member a signed membership card or receipt.
